Yoga Pep Talk: What’s your legacy going to be?
Here’s your yoga pep talk! We’re digging into the idea of “What kind of legacy are you creating?” Put another way, “What kind of story do you want your life to tell?”
This leads to the next big question: what small changes do you need to make to start telling that kind of story?
Like yoga, it’s all about regular practice. Showing up imperfectly. Strengthening those muscles – on and off the mat.
You can live intentionally with passion and purpose as God’s beloved.
Disclaimer: Let’s be real – I’m not an expert at creating the most amazing story ever. #flawedhuman But… isn’t this important for all of us to think about?
What equipment or space will you need for this yoga pep talk?
The movements involve being on the floor or a sturdy surface for kneeling and sitting, so you’ll want the following:
- Space on the ground or in your bed to comfortably move and stretch (like stretching your arms out)
- Blanket, towel, rug, or yoga mat, if desired
- Clothing you can stretch and move in
What do you need to remember about doing this yoga pep talk?
As always, these key points are essential to healthy happy movement, including relaxing yoga:
- Be kind to your body! It’s the only one you’ve got! Speaking or thinking badly about it will only hinder you. (More research about that in future posts!)
- Always, always modify as needed. Only YOU know what your body is feeling. So if something isn’t working for you at this time, dial it back. Modify.
- Pursuing healthy movement is a gift you give yourself. Enjoy it. (And seek out healthy movement that fills you up! If yoga isn’t your jam, keep exploring and trying until you find your best fit.
