Pep Talk: Healthy Happy Movement + Self-Reflection

Sharing is caring!

Here’s a little pep talk + healthy happy movement about self-reflection! Why? Because you can live intentionally with passion and purpose as God’s beloved.

Beloved, live intentionally with how you move your body and think about your life.

God calls us to intentionally love Him with our hearts, souls, bodies, and minds. (Matthew 22:37-40 NIV). Paul also writes about the importance of being transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2 AMP).

Self-reflection is all about leaning into our God-given identity as his beloved so we can become more like Him!

So, in between Pilates rolls, planks, and stretches, let’s talk a bit about self-reflection (and what it could practically look like).

Pep Talk: Healthy Happy Movement + Self-Reflection

Equipment/space needed for this healthy happy movement

You don’t need fancy equipment to do this. Supplies you might want to have on hand include:

  • Space on the ground or in your bed to comfortably move and stretch (like stretching your arms out)
  • Blanket, towel, rug, or yoga mat, if desired
  • Clothing you can stretch and move in

Remember this!

As always, these key points are essential to healthy happy movement, including relaxing yoga:

  • Be kind to your body! It’s the only one you’ve got! Speaking or thinking badly about it will only hinder you. (More research about that in future posts!)
  • Always, always modify as needed. Only YOU know what your body is feeling. So if something isn’t working for you at this time, dial it back. Modify.
  • Pursuing healthy movement is a gift you give yourself. Enjoy it. (And seek out healthy movement that fills you up! If yoga isn’t your jam, keep exploring and trying until you find your best-fit choice).
