Seeking Encouragement to Live Intentionally? You’re Welcome Here.

Sharing is caring!

I detest the phrase “killing time.” It makes me want to scream, especially since I want to live intentionally.

Basically, it’s saying “my time (and my life) doesn’t really matter right now.”

Sure, we all have awkward times of waiting.

But really, do you want to spend your days “wasting time” until something more important happens?

What’s happening in-between now and the “more-important-thing”?

Your life.

You can live intentionally with passion and purpose as God’s beloved.

Not Enough of You to Go Around?

I’m probably not the first person to share this with you. Countless speakers, writers and influencers talk about the value of being intentional with your time.

Heck, I realized I need to be more intentional with my life partly because of these influential voices.

(Head’s up! We’ll highlight many of these folks and their works on the blog. Woohoo!)

For years, I led an over-scheduled life with little space for breathing room. I struggled to say “no” to really great things to prioritize the best things.

I’m betting you can relate.

Too many good things, too little time. Not enough you to go around.

Are you tired of pursuing lots of “good things” and not having the life space for the “best things.”

When you’re significantly older (Lord willing!), wouldn’t you like to enjoy remembering how you invested you life, time, talents, energy and resources into the very best things?

In order for that to happen, though, you need goals, a path, travelling partners, and tools for the journey.

This is what Coffee Chats and Yoga Mats is about. Let me explain the what’s, why’s, and how’s right now.

This Blog is for Faith-Filled Believers Who Want to Live Intentionally

Coffee Chats and Yoga Mats is designed to support fellow Christ-following believers who want to be more intentional with their lives.

This is a big, bold, daring concept, right? And ridiculously vague.

First of all, my faith in God defines my life and my perspective. With this in mind, this will be a core tenet of CCYM’s approach to living intentionally.

If you’re not a fellow believer, I encourage you to explore who God is and why that matters for you.

Got questions? Let’s chat. I can 100% guarantee that I don’t have all the answers, but I’m here for you.

If you’re a fellow believer, welcome, sister! It’s delightful to meet a fellow believer in this big, wondrous world.

Why It Matters to Live Intentionally

First, we need to be clear on why it matters to live intentionally.

At Coffee Chats and Yoga Mats, this is our definition to live intentionally:

live intentionally – pursue a lifestyle of being purposeful with one’s time, talents, energy and resources

Coffee Chats and Yoga Mats Definition

This is the one, beautiful God-given life we have on Earth.

It is a great privilege and responsibility to make the most of our time, talents, energy and resources.

As ambassadors of Christ, we’re called to bring glory to God and point others to Him.

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

I believe we can do that by being intentional with our lives (which can be super satisfying, too!).

Taking Purposeful Steps to Live Intentionally

Secondly, this blog is for those who want to take purposeful steps toward being more intentional with their time, talents, energy and resources.

What could these purposeful steps look like?

  • Developing your own flexible framework for managing your time and creating healthy routines
  • Evaluating how you’re using your “stuff” (and if you’re even enjoying it!)
  • Deciding how you’ll take care of your body (and have fun doing it!)
  • Setting healthy boundaries
  • Becoming more aware of your limiting beliefs and shifting your mindset
  • Exploring your personality and giftings to celebrate and maximize them in the world
  • Taking advantage of fantastic resources and tools to make concrete steps toward reaching your goals

I plan to serve you by providing weekly content exploring the content above. As our community grows, we’ll continue to refine what is a more pressing focus.

Sister, this is your one, beautiful God-given life. It’s exciting, monotonous, boring and full of possibility.

You’re in this unique role in this moment for a purpose.

You can live intentionally with passion and purpose as God’s beloved.
