What would your answer be for today? (no right/wrong options!)

Hey there Beloved,

Most days I take a few minutes to respond to some DIYed prompts to get my head on straight for the day. Here’s one of them:

  • How can I embrace who God created me to be today? Pursue passion? Peace? Purpose?

For context: I LOVE journalling on my laptop via a Google doc. Basically, I’ve got a template of journal prompts/questions to respond to and just copy-paste it for each day that I sit down to reflect. Sometimes I get super wordy and other times it’s just bullet points. Either way, it’s helped me be more intentional with showing up and not just doing life but also processing it.

Friendly nudge: Give yourself the grace to do what works best for you. I know, I know – handwriting is supposed to be more effective but my mind moves faster than my fingers and this works. What’s better – doing it the way folks say you “should” do it or doing it in a way that actually works for you – and you do it?

After all, if I’m all about helping fellow Christian women embrace who God created them to be so they can confidently step into their next season of life with passion, purpose, and peace – then I for dang sure ought to walk it out myself!

Often my responses are something like:

  • Listen to my body
  • Choose to be playful with Little Man
  • Pay attention to joy
  • Take the next right step forward
  • Work WITH how I’m wired than trying to be someone I’m not

And you know what?

It’s been a challenging season for me these past few months (more about that sometime), and these prompts have been encouraging – not guilt-tripping.

… because it’s helped me tune into Where I Am Now Today, not Pretend Reality.

It’s helped me take a deep breath, look at the day ahead, and consider who I want to be that day.

Imperfect, sure.

Okay with not having it all together? Working on it.

Willing to grow? Totally.

So, I’m curious about you, Beloved- what’s it looking like for you lately to “embrace who God created you to be”? Hit reply and let me know what comes to mind. Perfectly worded, astoundingly deep responses NOT required ; ) Just be you right now – that’s more than good enough!

Here’s to you embracing who God created you to be (you’re pretty awesome) so you can confidently step into any season of life with passion, purpose, and peace!
