March was jammed with lots of reading and trying to get more rest. In addition to moving forward with building a house (woohoo!), a certain little person likes to throw raucous parties from 3 am – 5 am on the regs here. With that in mind, this post is a bit more brief. Enjoy!

Some of these are repeat hits from the December 2020 Lately List. These include:
We finished reading the YouVersion CCV: the Bible in ONE Year plan! Woohoo! (It’s free!)
I should mention that I tend to be a quick reader, so if you read at a normal pace and/or don’t enjoy reading as much as I do, please don’t ever hold yourself to the standard I’m presenting!
I actually read several books this month, but here are the ones I enjoyed most.
Beyond the Masquerade: Unveiling the Authentic You by Juli Slattery
This book was on my reading list for dwelling in grace this year. In a nutshell, Slattery discusses the many masks we wear to protect ourselves and how much we need to let go of our masks in order to be fully known by God and others. The overarching message of learning to live as one who is beloved rather than prideful or ashamed hit me hard. (More about that in a future post!)
Making the “Terrible” Twos Terrific by John Rosemond
First off, my son is a super fun, sweet two-year-old. I wasn’t truly concerned about him being terrible. I was eager to learn more about where he might be developmentally and how to be more equipped as a parent for upcoming milestone changes. This book was funny, insightful, and encouraging.
Easy on Page SEO by Debbie Gartner
Holy cow. I’m so excited by all I learned and will apply at Coffee Chats and Yoga Mats. I gobbled up this book in a couple of days and am so excited to start implementing her many helpful tips.
The Orphan’s Tale: A Novel by Pam Jenoff
In a Field of Blue: A Novel by Gemma Liviero
Spirit of the Season by Fern Michaels
We read a lot in our household, especially with Little Man. Lately, a few of his current top picks are listed below. (These are the ones he quotes throughout the day or immediately grabs for reading.)
NAPTIME (Sesame Street Toddler Books)
This book gets some mad bonus points for getting my son excited about talking about naptime (if not actually napping).
Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney
One of my goals for the year was to try three new recipes each month. Basically, I wanted to get more creative with how to use ingredients we already have and use them up before they expire.
So, here’s what we’ve been trying this month:

I’m also a full-time mama to two sweet little boys, wife to my best friend, motivational speaker, and part-time Christian life coach. Chai lattes, strong coffee, podcasts, yoga, dance, and fairy tales nourish my soul and add sweetness to life.
Discovering the joy of embracing my God-given gifts and who He created me to be was a game-changer—a journey that brought freedom, unexpected delights, and relief from guilt. Finally, I felt free to be myself and ditch the pressure of being someone I wasn’t.
Incorporating those gifts into my day—from weekly planning to deciding on commitments, nurturing my marriage, and parenting—transformed everything. Now, I can’t imagine life without the perspective of fully embracing who God created me to be. I was missing so much without it!
