Do you ever feel like Bible verses are “stalking” you?

Happy day, Beloved!

Do you ever feel like Bible verses are “stalking” you?

It makes you perk up and think, “God, you’re being pretty obvious about this. How can I catch what you’re throwing down?”

My focus for this year is being more playful and seeking joy, so a few weeks ago I wrote some “joyful” verses on scrapbook paper and taped them up in our living room (classy, I know), including the verse I’m about to share with you.

In the past 24 hours, it’s kept popping up – this morning in a devotional study on the Bible app and as our random anchor verse for my women’s morning yoga group… Clearly, I need this verse – and I thought you might enjoy it, too!

I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.
Psalm 34:4-5

At times, I struggle hard-core with asking for help. Admitting my weakness? That I’m not 100% confident and pulled-together? Ugh. Owning up to the fact that I’m human (on purpose by God, mind you) is a work-in-progress.

You know what’s pretty awesome, though?

Imagining what it’s like to seek the Lord – knowing that He answers and He WILL deliver you from all your fears. Rather than being filled with shame, we can be radiant with joy.

Perhaps, like me, you’re wading through some fears and shame, and realizing you’ve gotta come to God about it. (For me, that’s over and over again.)

You’re wondering if you’re enough. If you have what it takes. If you’ll ever find yourself on the “vibrant” side of life.

While I definitely don’t have it all figured out, I just wanted to encourage you with the Bible verses that are hunting me down lately.

You CAN seek God for help and He WILL answer.

(By the way, isn’t it mindblowing that He WANTS to respond to you, deliver you from your fears, free you from shame, and give you radiant joy? I forget sometimes what a big deal that is!)

And you CAN find freedom from your fears and shame. You can be radiant with confidence in Whose you are and who you are.

Anyway… that’s something I’ve been pondering. Do you have any verses or ideas that have been chasing you down lately? If so, would you mind sharing them with me? I can hardly wait to hear from you!

Beloved, live intentionally with passion and purpose as God’s beloved!
