Fist-pumping truth to combat not-enoughism

Hi there Beloved,

Have you ever found yourself moving on default – trying to keep up with everything on your plate – and losing your passion and purpose along the way?

We can get so busy juggling responsibilities, relationships and expectations that we forget WHO we are and WHOSE we are.

It’s no fun ending the day, thinking, “Well, thank goodness, that day is over!”

We all have days like that sometimes. But we don’t have to LIVE that way each day.

You ready for some fist-pumping truth to dwell on instead?

THIS is who you are…

The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.
And you, Reader, did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough.
But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God.
And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!”
For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “Reader, you are God’s beloved child!”
Romans 8:14-16 The Passion Translation, my emphasis added

You are God’s beloved child.

You don’t ever need to fear being not good enough again.

Amazing, right?!

Now what?

Try reading these verses each day for a week and see how your feeling of “enoughism” changes. Don’t like these verses? No worries – pick other ones to focus on!

Dwelling on a different verse? Hit reply. I’d love to hear from you!

Live intentionally with passion and purpose as God’s beloved!
