What are you focusing on tomorrow? Do you need more truth?
Hey beloved!
I hope you enjoyed tuning into what gave you wonder last week! Gosh, isn’t it so darn good to just notice when something or someone surprises you with goodness?
In my last email, I gave you a micro challenge of simply noticing what fills you with wonder and be present to it.
To be honest, some of my own moments of wonder come from day-to-day things BUT when I tune into the moment, it’s really sweet. A few have included:
- Creamy, strong Earl Grey Tea lattes at home (or as my son used to call it “Earl T. Grey”)
- The rustle and blur of falling autumn leaves
- Hearing my husband and son laugh together
It’s not that complicated, but it’s so good.
You ready for your next micro challenge?
Tonight choose a truth or encouragement to dwell on for the next day or week. Then put that statement somewhere you’ll see it regularly.
You may not be able to immediately start your day reading books of the Bible or journaling for pages and pages.
But – you can start the day with one verse, one statement, one SOMETHING that reminds you of what you want to focus on – even in the midst of a crazy hectic or low-key day. You can pursue that intentional life you long for by focusing on what matters most to you.
Here’s some ideas to get you started:
- Specific scriptures
- I have God-given gifts to share with the world
- Take a pause – less input. More output.
- What my people need most from me is my presence
- Be present. Be at rest. Play.
- He is all I need.
- Do the hard work.
- Be still first. One thing at a time.
- Reset each moment if you need to. That’s okay.
- Holy Spirit, you are here.
- His grace is enough.
Speak truth into your life. You’re so worth it.
I’d love to hear what you’re focusing on!

I’m also a full-time mama to two sweet little boys, wife to my best friend, motivational speaker, and part-time Christian life coach. Chai lattes, strong coffee, podcasts, yoga, dance, and fairy tales nourish my soul and add sweetness to life.
Discovering the joy of embracing my God-given gifts and who He created me to be was a game-changer—a journey that brought freedom, unexpected delights, and relief from guilt. Finally, I felt free to be myself and ditch the pressure of being someone I wasn’t.
Incorporating those gifts into my day—from weekly planning to deciding on commitments, nurturing my marriage, and parenting—transformed everything. Now, I can’t imagine life without the perspective of fully embracing who God created me to be. I was missing so much without it!
