Ugh! Why do we do this? 😖

Hey there beloved…

Have you ever spent the day constantly fidgeting with a scratchy neckline, undecided waistband, or blister-boosting shoes? (I’m looking at you, sunshine yellow peplum blouse. You’re nicer on the hanger!)

It sucks, right?

Perhaps your thoughts were something like this…

➡️ Maintain eye contact. Listen. Don’t. Keep. Scratching.

➡️ What do I decide? Toes – stop screaming for mercy!

➡️ Why are people so annoying today? (adjust pants for 10th time that day)

And when you finally shimmy into your “Gosh, I love these!” clothes, you sigh… relax and grin.

You’re finally undistracted and ready to be present for the rest of your day. (And it’s way more fun!)

… wearing those itchy clothes is what life often feels like when you’re trying to do #allthethings without taking your personality into account.

➡️ Easily distracted by all the shiny must-do’s, ought-to’s, and could-do’s

➡️ Literally out-of-step because you’re trying to squeeze your foot into someone else’s “perfect” fit

➡️ Constantly trying to adjust yourself so that you can do A, B and C (and don’t forget XYZ, too!)

The great news?

Like those clothes don’t have to stay in your closet (Seriously. Let. Them. Go.), you can lean more into your personality and let go of at least some of #thethings – and have a heckuva lot more fun time doing it.

We’ll really dig more into your personality next week, but in the meantime…

Think about the last time you let go of a “not right for me!” item. How’d you feel? Hit reply if you’d like to share – and get a little fist bump for letting go of stuff that doesn’t help you thrive! 😉

Beloved, live intentionally with passion and purpose as God’s beloved!
