Oh my gosh. Did that really happen?

Beloved, remember That Day?

The one where you couldn’t handle getting one more thing added to your smorgasboard of a chaotic day.

You semi-accomplished your Super Important To Do list because emails, phone calls and everyone wanted your attention right NOW.

BOOM!

Your temper and words exploded like hot lava… and actually gave you more stuff to deal with.

The worst part?

Feeling like a failure of a person. You should know better. You should be able to handle #allthethings better.

We both know that YOU – God’s beloved! – are not a failure.

Rather, you’re someone who…

  • Gets pumped up doing work you’re proud of
  • Cracking jokes with your people
  • Shimming to your favorite music
  • Loves Jesus and knows he loves you, too

You can be both-and.

Someone who loves teaching and presenting…

… and also needs time alone to recharge.

Someone who loves heart-to-hearts with her favorite people…

… and also can make decisions pragmatically.

Someone who is rocking out on Monday…

… and struggling on Wednesday.

Someone who is this-close with the Holy Spirit…

… and trips and stumbles when distractions take her attention.

Actually, when you get to know more of your “both-and’s”, you can start letting go of the “should’s” that are sucking the happy dance out in your days. More about that another time!

Right now, though, celebrate that you’re God’s beloved and you have room to grow. You’re struggles sometimes and also rocks out at other times.

Live intentionally with passion and purpose as God’s beloved!
