God doesn’t think little of you. You are God’s beloved. Forever and always.
Even when you are thinking little of yourself. Or others seem to think little of you.
Sometimes you’ll go through seasons when you feel like a ball of vulnerability and failure. You’re unlovable. You’re too much. You’re not enough. You’ll never measure up.
You know what? If anyone has reasons to burn bridges and shut down relationships, God does – who knows our hearts, minds, and actions. He created us and we fail every single day. We choose to do and say things that are clearly not of Him. But He doesn’t. He chooses a relationship with you and me every time. Because we matter so much to Him.
He knows exactly who you are, where you are, and what you need. You will always be enough for Him – His beloved child. You are always welcome at his home.
Here are just a couple reminders from John about this idea:
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
1 John 3:1a (NIV)
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
John 15:9 (NIV)
Of course, we’re gifted with the great responsibility and privilege of continuing to grow. As one of my favorite ministers likes to say, “God loves you too much to let you stay the way you are.”
(More about that another time.)
We’ve been talking a lot about this truth in my household, so credit for this reminder goes to my husband. (Hey babe!)
Perhaps you needed this simple profound truth whispered into your heart again and again. So, moving forward, my mission at Coffee Chats and Yoga Mats is to speak this profound simple truth into your life:
You can live intentionally with passion and purpose as God’s beloved.
Coffee Chats and Yoga Mats encouragement for dear readers
I’m crazy passionate about this because living this truth changes everything. (And I hardcore struggle with remembering this, too!)
Here’s a little video for some more information…
I’m praying that you can fully lean into your identity as God’s beloved. Because your life matters. Live intentionally.
Bonus! Here’s another simple sweet little post to remind you of what it means to be God’s beloved.

I’m Cortney, a recovering over-achiever and God’s beloved who loves helping fellow Christian women like you embrace your God-given gifts so you have the confidence to live authentically.
I’m also a full-time mama to two sweet little boys, wife to my best friend, motivational speaker, and part-time Christian life coach. Chai lattes, strong coffee, podcasts, yoga, dance, and fairy tales nourish my soul and add sweetness to life.
Discovering the joy of embracing my God-given gifts and who He created me to be was a game-changer—a journey that brought freedom, unexpected delights, and relief from guilt. Finally, I felt free to be myself and ditch the pressure of being someone I wasn’t.
Incorporating those gifts into my day—from weekly planning to deciding on commitments, nurturing my marriage, and parenting—transformed everything. Now, I can’t imagine life without the perspective of fully embracing who God created me to be. I was missing so much without it!
